The history of the project went something like this in relation to its design:
Writing a fiction that included a character using VR
Idea: why not include link to a website with some VR?
Development: Allow readers to interact on the site.
Research: What platforms exist that allow interactive discussion in VR
Observations: Options limited and not very “meaningful”!
Reasons: Users not secure with privacy etc. or with general intent of the platform.
Idea: Write a privacy-first chat/social media to encourage meaningful personal communication.
Central idea: Well being through meaningful anonymous one-on-one text messaging.
Development: Build the message system first / VR later.
Observation: The anonymous design seems to give many benefits but must include a moderation function to protect vulnerable users.
